Return of Winter.........

With winter giving us a quick reminder that it is still January, I took a little hike this morning before it got windy and knocked down the fresh snowfall from last night. It was incredibly silent in the forest except for the sound of the stream.

I always have fun walking the woods of Michigan after a heavy downpour of snow. It is pure white and glorious
like your pictures. Thnaks for sharing.

It looks beautiful. Like a lot of southerners, I love snow...as long as it doesn't stick around too long.

80 degrees on Christmas sounds pretty cool, I have to admit. We'll have to compare local temperatures in July when it's too hot for you to even think about doing anything outside and your enjoying some refereshing yak piss
or whatever it is they try and call water there. Enjoy !

Love that first tree--the way the snow caught on each fine limb near the inky water. Wow!

Hey, don't knock yak piss until you've tried it, buddy!

Actually, I'm originally from Chicago, so I'm familiar with what July is like there. Heat doesn't bother me as much as humidity, so feel free to check back with me this summer. True, the 120 degree days are an acquired taste, but the 90 degree nights with no humidity are simply wonderful.
